By the end of the performance review course the minimum that participants will be able to is:

  • explain the purpose and philosophy of performance        improvement
  • identify the key elements in their organisation's performance review and development processes and procedures
  • prepare a performance review and development meeting
  • consider organisational and functional goals,
  • assess an individual's past performance and their future developmental needs
  • arrange a review meeting and collect appropriate information
  • demonstrate effective questioning, listening and feedback skills
  • participate in a PRD meeting, in the roles of both manager and employee, and complete appropriate follow-up procedures.
